Each piece of maiolica offered by Piatti Ceramic Art will vary slightly from another, as they are hand-formed on a potter's wheel and then painted by hand. The shape, design and color can vary slightly, as the pressure of the potter's hand or the flick of the painter's wrist may vary. Evidence of handcrafted work includes slight color and size variations, paint smudges, an occasional fingerprint, and looseness of lids. These are all characteristics of handmade maiolica and part of what makes them unique!
